He was granted the esteemed title of an ARA Honorary Life Member, a recognition reserved for individuals who have exhibited exceptional dedication and contributions to the Association over an extended period of time. This recognition, the highest honour the ARA can bestow, serves as a testament to Dennis King?s remarkable achievements during his 22-year tenure.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr King?s longstanding commitment to the ARA encompasses an array of pivotal roles. He served as a dedicated director for an impressive 11-year term and held a concurrent position on the Symposium committee for the same duration.?<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond his administrative roles, Dennis exhibited a tireless commitment to advancing the interests of the Australian rendering industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of his significant accomplishments included organising nutrition workshops in China and the Philippines in both 2005 and 2007. These workshops effectively showcased Australian rendered products to major feedmills in the region, facilitating market expansion and growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dennis played an instrumental role in enhancing the Association’s digital presence. He undertook the substantial task of rewriting the Association’s website and the dedicated Symposium website, ensuring that crucial information was readily accessible to members and stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dennis’s dedication to disseminating knowledge about Australian rendered products culminated in the production of the booklet, ?A Pocket Guide to Australian Rendered Product?, a valuable resource for industry professionals and stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2013, he assumed the position of Executive Officer, succeeding Graeme Banks. He carried out this role with distinction, and only recently retired earlier this year.?<\/span><\/p>\n

In reflecting on his tenure and the industry?s evolution, Dennis has expressed gratitude to those who have played pivotal roles in the Association?s growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

?I have been fortunate to have had a great team of directors to support and work with me over the last 22 years and not the least of those have been the various presidents. These include Andy Bennett, Paul Stenzel, Craig Palmer, Andy Bennett(again), Warren McLean, John Seletto, Andy Bennett (again) and Peter Milzewski. Additionally, Jess Bloomfield has provided great support in her role as Executive Assistant.?<\/span><\/p>\n

Dennis acknowledged the ARA?s efforts in opening new markets and the vital role played by the Department of Agriculture in facilitating these endeavours.<\/span><\/p>\n

?The Association is now recognised in many areas of government and on statutory working committees where industry gets to have a say and provide advice to government. It truly has come of age.?<\/span><\/p>\n
